Gavi is a classification of wine made from the Cortese grape variety. It produces aromatic wines
with bright acidity which match incredibly well with seafood. Gavi’s location is quite proximate to
the sea, although it’s separated by the Ligurian Alps.
Gianlorenzo Picollo oversees the small estate with his wife Silvia, and together they manage the
winery with Gianlorenzo’s parents. Fifteen hectares of Cortese vineyards with vines up to 80 years
old are cultivated by traditional methods, and without the use of chemicals.
Pale straw. Tropical notes of passionfruit, grapefruit and blackcurrant combine with salty mineral notes. The palate is rich and weighty and full of flavours of grapefruit and blackcurrant along with green notes of nettle and capsicum. A subtle sea salt character leads to a long lingering mineral finish.
Vin Santo (pronounced Vin san-toh), which means “holy wine”, has various theories surrounding its origins. One of the most famous stories tells of a Franciscan monk, who would use it to celebrate Holy Mass. Later, it was more-commonly known for its “holy” or curative power regarding the treatment of ailments. Golden amber colour with rich, luminous reflections. Intense and complex bouquet; perfumed with scents of raisins combined with aromas of apricots, figs, dried fruit, wood, and honey fused with aromatic notes of a great personality. Full and warm palate with a velvety texture, sweet delicate notes and an extraordinary finish.
A dry Provencal classic made of cinsault with grenache, syrah and merlot too, this is bright and summery with strawberries, pomegranate spritz and richer vanilla aromas. Crunchy-fresh with sour-red grapefruit to start, it then mellows with a creamy edge to the strawberry fruit.
The nose opens up with sweet scent of elder and pear blossom and develops into apricot, pineapple and melon. In the mouth it is deep, mellow and very harmonious with a full body, soft and round mouthfeel and a note of spice and oak on the finish.

Barbera is the hardy staple grape of the famous Piedmont region in Northern Italy. The grape accounts for around 55% of the wine produced in that region.
A tough, non-fussy grape, Barbera has been known to be flexible in its acclimation to different regions. It’s typically a deep ruby color with low tannin and bracing, high acidity.
Fournier Doux (Sweet) Cider offers an amber colour. A delicate and elegant nose, revealing fruity notes and aromas of freshly picked apples. Balanced with a fresh and sweet attack at the same time, this sweet cider is frank and tasty.
