Panettone is a rich and fluffy cake which was first created in the 15th century by Milanese bakers, who chose each simple ingredient to symbolize luck and prosperity. Today, Italians give Panettone to offer good wishes. Simply enjoy with a good cup of coffee or tea !!
What distingushes a good Panettone? It must be moist and not dry! Our Panettone is rich and full of juicy candied fruit and raisins and once opened will keep moist for at least 10 days.
Should it become a little dry, this is the perfect time to toast it spreading on some good Italian butter. Pure indulgence!

Add some good Italian Butter – check out our 1889 Salted Butter
This is an amazing artisan butter made with cream that is allowed to settle naturally over 72 hours. This method enhances the softness, the spreadability and the rich flavour which has hints of blanched almonds, alpine flowers and rich, creamy milk. In honour of the traditional recipe, the butter is named ‘1889’ – the year the producer’s great grandfather was born.
This salted version contains 2% Trapani sea salt – a fine salt protected by the Slow Food Presidium.
